Josefine switches roles from Stratford to Leamington

JOSEFINE Blomqvist has returned to the Leamington’s Mallory Court Hotel where she started her career to take the top job.

Josefine began her career in hotels at the Harbury Lane venue – which is owned by The Eden Hotel Collection – in 2005 when she helped launch its 2AA Rosette restaurant The Brasserie, restaurant The Brasserie, and then led on the event facilities of the Knights Suite.

And now, after a decade as general manager at sister hotel The Arden in Stratford, she has returned to Mallory Court in the same role.

Originally from Sweden, Josefine has lived in Leamington with her partner for almost two decades and said she is relishing the opportunity to ‘return home’ to a place which holds so many special memories.

The 46-year-old said: “Mallory Court is a hugely well-known and respected country house hotel and there’s been tremendous work since I was last here, not least with the launch of Elan Spa which is a popular draw not only for the hotel but also the town and wider region.

“I am really keen to continue to build on Mallory’s excellent reputation and I am also excited to develop the food offering, encouraging local residents to come and try us.

“Additionally, I am looking at ways to engage more with the local community as well as furthering the good work on our sustainability practices.”
