A KEEP fit group raced to clear rubbish across Warwick district.
More than 50 people took part in a 5km run from The Fat Pug in Leamington to Guy’s Cliffe House in Warwick, clearing the grounds along the way.
The healthcare initiative called Goodgym is funded by Warwickshire County Council and the West Midlands Combined and sees residents run or walk to get fit and help people or community projects along the way.
County council health spokesman Coun Les Caborn said: “Goodgym is a fantastic idea, inspiring people to get active while doing good deeds for their local area.
“I would encourage as many residents as possible to sign up and join the movement.
“We hope to improve the physical health of residents, as well as helping to reduce loneliness and social isolation amongst older people.”
Group runs take place from The Fat Pug in Leamington every Wednesday at 6.30pm.
