Kenilworth Lions show support for local groups

Laura Kearns 24th Apr, 2019   0

VULNERABLE children are being given a helping hand thanks to a donation from Kenilworth Lions.

The club has given £1,000 to the Spring Playgroup in Upper Rosemary Hill to fund extra sessions for children who would benefit from extra support due to their own or their family’s needs.

The donation is part of the Lion’s ‘dream scheme’, with the club making a number of donations this year to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

And to celebrate other organisations which receive financial support from the Lions, a presentation evening was recently held.

Cheques were given to local branches of Heartsafe, scouts jamboree, Children’s Centre Support Group, Northleigh House School, and Helping Hands Club – which supports young disabled people.
