Kennel Club works to reduce carbon 'paw-print'

THE KENNEL Club at Stoneleigh Park is being refurbished to help improve its carbon ‘paw-print’.

Work is underway to modernise insulation, heating and lighting systems at the building, which recently also had solar panels fitted. It is also being redecorated and improvements made to the outdoor show rings.

Chairman Gerald King said: “This is the first major refurbishment of the Kennel Club building since it was opened at Stoneleigh Park in 2009.

“The significant investment being made will benefit the environment as well as those using the centre with the improved heating and lighting making the surroundings far more comfortable.

“The building is well used throughout the year with many shows and events at weekends. We are hoping that these improvements will attract even more users throughout the week.”

Work is set to be completed later this month.
