THEY had reason to celebrate at Kingsley School recently.
The independent girls’ schools school recently marked its 133rd birthday and paid tribute to the school’s founder Rose Kingsley, daughter of Victorian author Charles Kingsley.
An ice-cream and a special assembly detailing the school’s history and the legacy of previous headteachers was held.
And the school welcomed back former headmistress and recently turned centenarian Nesta Jones. Miss Jones attended an afternoon tea alongside three other previous headmistresses and current headteacher Heather Owens, and chair of governors Julia Burns.
