NIMBLE-FINGERED residents at a Leamington care home have been busy with the knitting needles.
Cubbington Mill care home has been holding regular ‘knit & natter’ workshops with residents over the past six months.
Carers and the local community were invited to knit alongside the residents with the aim of donating more than 100 handmade items – blankets, booties, cardigans, hats and teddy bears – for the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at Warwick Hospital.
General manager Dimpho Kavanagh said: “We are so proud of all involved and have been overwhelmed with the response and dedication of the knitters in, and outside of the home.
“We look forward to inviting all those involved in this mammoth knit to join us at Cubbington Mill for a well-deserved afternoon tea courtesy of our hospitality team in thanks for their efforts and support.”
