Law firm recognised for community support during pandemic

A LAW firm has been recognised for its support to the community throughout the pandemic.

Leamington-based Wright Hassall has been awarded a UK Business Hero Stamp by the British Chambers of Commerce.

The award recognises companies which have gone the extra mile to support their local chamber and the community.

Throughout the pandemic the firm supported local homelessness charity Helping Hands by donating food and providing additional support to help it expand in Leamington to meet growing demand for its services.

Staff also donated cuddly toys and Easter eggs to Coventry children in care.

And they set up a page called ‘furloughteering’ to connect furloughed individuals who had spare time on their hands with charities who were in urgent need of support.

Managing partner Sarah Perry said: “This year has been a time for communities of all kinds to support each other – which is reflected in the variety of support we have provided – and when I look back on what Wright Hassall has done to make a difference this year, it fills me with great pride.”
