LITTER pickers are at the ready for a spring clean of Leamington.
Leam Trash Friends has launched its Spring Clean series, inviting residents, businesses, and organisations to get involved and help keep the town shining.
Community clean-up events will take place on February 14 in North Leamington, starting at St Mark’s Church, February 21 in the Sydenham area, meeting at Asda, February 28 meeting at Morrisons and March 7 from Leamington Town Hall. All events will run from 10am until 12pm.
Volunteers will be provided with gloves, bags, and tools. Leam Trash Friends is also appealing directly to businesses to sponsor their efforts by sending staff to join a session, donating supplies, or simply committing to keeping the immediate vicinity of their premises tidy and welcoming.
A Leam Trash Friends spokesperson said: “Every tag removed, every sack collected, and every needle safely cleared makes Leamington safer, prouder, and more beautiful. We relaunched because our town deserves better – and with community and business support, we can achieve a truly litter- and graffiti-free Leamington this spring.”
