Leamington driver arrested after BMW crashes into six parked vehicles

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a BMW crashed into six parked vehicles in Leamington.

Officers were called to the scene shortly before 2am on Saturday (January 16) in Calder Walk.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and possession of a controlled Class B drug with intent to supply.

Officers searched his vehicle and seized several bags of cannabis, around £2,000 in cash and two mobile phones.

The 22-year-old suffered minor injuries to his head from the crash which caused significant damage to all six vehicles.

Following his arrest, he was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries but has since been discharged.

The man, from Leamington, has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
