FALCONS to graveyards feature in a new magazine produced by Leamington in Bloom.
The first issue of the annual free magazine has been launched ahead of the town’s judging on July 12 in this year’s Heart of England in Bloom competition – when the town will be looking for a third successive Gold Award.
Leamington mayor Heather Calver said: “We are proud of our historic town with its wonderful green parks and gardens and the fabulous initiatives undertaken by the many friends and volunteers that ensure the town maintains its vital green spaces.
“Much of the work undertaken by these dedicated community groups have ensured that Leamington in Bloom has been a very worthy winner of the Heart of England in Bloom Gold Award for the last two years. Here’s to a hat trick of three gold awards for this year.”
The 56 page magazine includes articles on the peregrine falcons nesting in the town hall clock tower, how Warwick District Council cares for bowling greens; and furniture maker Vitsoe’s new headquarters on the site of the former Ford foundry.
