ROBERT Wootton has never enjoyed a pint of lager so much.

The regular at the Fusilier in Leamington bought a Carling and ended up winning a £5,000 holiday. The Sydenham pub, owned by pub company Punch, is taking part in the Carling promotion ‘Holiday Getaway’,

Rugby fan Robert, better known as ‘Cockney Bob’, has decided to take a once in a lifetime trip to New Zealand to see the British Lions in action.

Punch spokeswoman Jacqueline Frow said: “It’s a fantastic promotion which our publican Donna Rose and her team are running at the Fusilier and I know how proud she is that Bob won in her pub.

“Donna and her team truly deserve recognition for running a really great community local.”

The Fusilier will continue to run the nationwide promotion giving away over £50,000 worth of holidays, until it closes on June 30.
