LEAMINGTON railway station is on track for a national award.
The Chiltern Railways run station has been shortlisted in the Medium Station of the Year category for the 2017 National Rail Awards, organised by RAIL magazine, the annual awards reward excellence in the rail industry. The award recognises top customer service in everything from safety to facilities.
Alan Riley, customer services director for Chiltern Railways, said: “We are very proud that Leamington has been shortlisted for this award.
“It’s a beautiful station and much of the success is due to the hard work of the staff at Leamington who are dedicated to ensuring that our customers come first, as well as the Friends of Leamington Spa community group who help us keep it looking its best.”
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on September 21.
