A FORMER breast cancer patient from Leamington is helping put others in the pink.

Karyn Hunt who works at Regent Street’s The Boot Room is hosting a fund-raiser for the Breast Cancer Support Charity from Friday (October 18) and over the weekend.

Team member Karyn Hunt has suffered from the condition herself and wanted to give something back to the charity which supported her six-year ordeal.

She said: “Cancer is on the increase so I wanted to raise as much as possible and help get rid of it and raise awareness. Luckily I came out the other side and I want to help others who have faced that horror. If I’d have known someone who had been through it when I did I would have found it much easier.”

As well as being dressed pretty in pink, the shop will be providing cakes, sweets and running a raffle with top prizes from many of the street’s stores.

Raffle tickets cost £2 each or £5 for three.
