A SIKH leader from Leamington was recently invited to Downing street.
Jagtar Singh Gill attended a reception given by prime minister Theresa May to celebrate Vaisakhi and Sikhs from across the UK who have made a notable contribution, either to their own or wider community were invited.
Mr Gill said: “It was an honour and a privilege to have been invited and I was happy to accept the invitation on behalf of the local Sikh community and various voluntary organisations that I have been lucky to be a part of.”
Mr Gill is a past general secretary of Gurdwara Sahib Leamington and Warwick, and past secretary general of Sikh Council UK.
