THE SEARCH is again on for Leamington’s best builds.
The Leamington Society Awards have been honouring good conservation and improvement projects, landscape work, together with contemporary architecture, small and large, for approaching 40 years.
Anyone can nominate, but the projects must be in Leamington and clearly visible to the public, and must have been completed in the past two years.
There is a special award, the ‘Bill Gibbons Trophy’, in honour of the late Leamington historian, for the best house – restoration or new build – by an owner-occupier.
A panel from the Leamington Society, Warwick District Council, Leamington Town Council and an independent architect will select the winners. Awards will be presented at a ceremony on July 9.
Entry forms are available from the Visitor Information Centre in the Pump Rooms and from the receptions at Leamington Town Hall and Warwick District Council’s Riverside House headquarters.
Forms can also be downloaded by visiting www.leamingtonsociety.org.uk. The closing date for entries is Sunday April 19.
