THE EASTER Egg Hunt in Leamington town centre is going online.
BID Leamington has adapted this year’s hunt, which normally involves searching for clues around town centre shops, due to closures as a result of the pandemic.
Easter egg hunters will instead be challenged to find eggs which are displayed on local business profiles featured on the Love Leam website.
The website has been re-launched to showcase town centre businesses which are selling products online and offering innovative new ways to keep customers supplied with items during the crisis.
Stephanie Kerr, executive director of BID Leamington, said: “Even though businesses with essential items remain open, many others are making the changes they need to make in order to move online, and so are we.
“The Easter Egg Hunt will be on the Love Leam website and as well as providing a bit of fun especially for those with children, will also help people find out how local businesses are adapting so they can still support their high street during these turbulent times.”
There are 15 eggs to collect on the Love Leam website, each with a letter. Once all the letters have been found, they need to be rearranged into two Easter-related words which can then be entered online for a chance to win £100 in prize money to spend with town centre retailers.
The website features a host of town centre businesses adapting to the circumstances, with many delivering items to customer themselves and arranging collections within government guidelines.
The Dice Box board game cafe is offering free delivery within five miles of its shop on Regent Street.
Steph Branch, co-founder of The Dice Box, said: “Looking after our physical health is extremely important but it’s also important to look after our mental health during these times and board games are a great way to do that.
“Many board games also have great solo variants that you can play on your own.”
