Let nature help with mental well-being, residents urged

Ian Hughes 28th May, 2019   0

PEOPLE are being urged to let nature help them with their mental well-being.

Leamington-based community organisation ARC run activities to help with mental and physical health.

A weekly drop in Ecotherapy service is offered at Foundry Wood in Leamington, and a six week more in depth course is being held at Tallis Wood in Radford Semele.

On the courses participants connect with nature through conservation activities, walking, natural craft, mindfulness, nature observation and more.

Project Manager and ARC director Kristie Naimo said: “We are pleased to announce we are running the Tallis Wood course again from June for those wishing to connect more deeply with nature”.

“Both activities are free, and aimed at adults with mild to moderate mental health challenges, feel socially isolated, or are on a recovery pathway from an addiction.”
