A LIFELONG Leamington resident is celebrating her 100th birthday.
Betty Still previously attended Leamington School for Girls and was then part of the war effort working at the local telephone exchange.
The mum-of-two later set up Still’s Store on Leam Terrace and now lives in Southfields on Lillington Road.
Betty says the secret to a long and happy life is playing lots of cryptic crosswords, Scrabble and patience.
Like many centenarians this year, she won’t be celebrating as she hoped owing to the continuing restrictions, but for her birthday today (Saturday) she will have a virtual party on Zoom with her five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
