VILLAGERS in Lighthorne are the most likely in the country to modify their cars.
The number of modification parts bought by people in the village in the last 12 months totalled nearly 600, despite the population being just over 350.
Motoring company Euro Car Parts say the number of people ordering parts compared to the size of the population is higher in Lighthorne than anywhere else in the UK.
They were followed by Bangor in Wales and Truro in Cornwall.
Nearly all modification parts were ordered by men between the ages of 24 and 34.
Wheel trims, tailored car mats, performance filters and screen tints were the most commonly ordered parts.
Chief executive of Euro Cars, Martin Gray said: “It’s great to see the interest of car modification is still going strong, as it can be a time-consuming and quite arduous hobby, but one that has incredibly rewarding results when complete.”
