Lioness gets paws into club

A LIONESS is the first for a Warwick club.

Warwick Lions President Geoffrey Wiskin has handed over his chain of office to Pauline Fanti.

Pauline was the first woman to join the club in 2003 and holds many responsibilities, namely for the support of awareness and projects for the prevention of diabetes.

Warwick Lions has raised the sum of £23,000 during the past year from events including Carols at the Castle, a fashion show and Easter egg raffle. Money raised is spent on causes such as hospital facilities, play equipment for schools, the Safeline charity and numerous smaller projects.

Warwick Lions is part of Lions International a network of more than 45,000 clubs across the globe.
