THE PANDEMIC has forced Kenilworth Lions to cancel this year’s Grand Show.
The event was due to be held in June but due to restrictions on large public events has been called off for a second year.
Instead the Lions will be holding a ‘Support the Charities Day’ on Saturday September 11 on Talisman Square car park.
Some 30 local charities and groups are expected to attend the event.
A spokesman said: “Kenilworth Lions are sad to announce that this year’s Grand Show has been cancelled due to the current and ongoing government restrictions.
“We realise the implications of this for local charities, community and youth organisations in Kenilworth. The need for them to raise much needed funds is even more critical now after three lockdowns.”
