MOTORISTS were held up on the M40 near Warwick for over an hour on Saturday morning (May 20) due to a collision.
The crash, at just after 10am, was between a car and a motorbike on the M40 southbound between junctions 15 and 16.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Meanwhile those travelling along the motorway experienced lengthy delays to their journeys, with many people abandoning their cars to stretch their legs or to watch the medieval re-enactors have an impromptu sword fight.
Traffic began moving again shortly after 11am.
