A MAN has been arrested following two suspected armed robberies on the same day.
Staff at the BP Garage on Stratford Road in Warwick were threatened with a firearm on Sunday January 15 around 8.40am. The robber fled with cash and cigarettes.
A second robbery around 9pm at the Heart of England Co-op on Church Road in Long Itchington also saw staff threatened with a firearm, before the thief again made off with cash.
Investigations are continuing, and detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 101.
The arrested man has been bailed.
