A LEAMINGTON man has been charged with assault after a police officer was injured.
Christopher Gillatt will appear at Leamington magistrates court today (Monday February 29) following his arrest on Saturday.
The 26-year-old is charged with actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, having no insurance, no driving licence, no tax, failing to stop after a collision, and failing to stop when asked by a police officer.
The injured officer was riding a police motorcycle and suffered leg injuries as a result of a crash with a car.
