Man dies following crash involving two artic lorries on M40

A MAN has died following a crash involving two artic lorries on the M40.

The four vehicle smash happened at around 10pm on Tuesday (November 19) between junction 12 (for Gaydon) to 13 (for Warwick), close to the entrance to Warwick Services.

A man in his 20s who was driving a Volkswagen Golf suffered serious injuries and later died.

A man in his 40s was driving a van and was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are currently not believed to be life threatening or life changing.




The road was closed until late this morning (Wednesday).

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.


PC Drew Ballantyne said: “While investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident, we are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage of it to please come forward.

“Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family at this time.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and speak to police.
