A MAN has been jailed after nearly 100 wraps of class A drugs were seized in Leamington.
Alexander Finch, formerly of Dale Street, was arrested by officers last month. He was found to be in possession of 11 wraps of crack cocaine and second wraps on heroin on Riverside Walk in the town.
When officers searched Finch’s home address, a further 46 wraps of crack cocaine and 32 wraps of heroin were seized. The total value of drugs seized was estimated to be around £960.
Finch pleaded guilty to the offences and on Friday (October 1), he was sentenced to three years’ and eight months’ imprisonment.
Det Con Paul Luke from Leamington CID said: “Illegal drugs bring misery to our communities, and we remain determined to proactively target those who are involved in their supply.
“We will continue to work with local residents, businesses, partner agencies and other organisations in the area to keep our communities safe.
“If anyone has any information about the production or supply or drugs in their area, or witnesses any suspicious behaviour, let us know and we will act on it.”
