THE AIR Ambulance rushed a man to hospital with possible head injuries after two cars collided in Southam this morning (Thursday February 8).

Both cars were heavily damaged in the crash, which happened near Thorpe Bridge on Southam Road just before 8am.

A man in his 20s was pulled out of the wreckage by passers-by.

He was airlifted to the major trauma centre at University Hospital Coventry with a fractured right leg and possible head injury.

The driver of the other vehicle, a man in his 40s, got out of his vehicle himself and was taken by ambulance to Warwick Hospital with lacerations.
