Marvel and DC fans look forward to Leam Comic Con

COMIC book fans will fly into Leamington for the town’s annual Comic Con at the Spa Centre on Saturday March 25.

Fans will have the chance to meet top artists Christian Wildgoose who worked on DC’s Batgirl, Marc Laming whose artwork has appeared in Marvel’s Star Wars: Force Awakens and John-Paul Bove, best known for his work on Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The event will feature a comic costume competition for adults and youngsters, and all entrants will also have the chance to walk down their very own catwalk.

Creator of Leam Comic Con, Dan Mallier said: “With two successful conventions under our belt and the awesome support of Leamington behind us, we’ve attracted some big comic book guests.

“It’s important to us that we promote literacy and support local talent. We have Leamington artist Chris Oxenbury – known locally as the emoji man – attending this year and a fantastic young artist Tom Malin from Evesham.”
