Mayor looking to Christmas after launching card competition

Leamington Editorial 8th Aug, 2020   0

SUMMER may still be here, but the Mayor of Kenilworth is looking to Christmas after launching a card competition.

The mayor Richard Dickson will send four different cards to organisations across the town, Warwick District and the county. The cards are also sent to Kenilworth’s twinned towns in France, Germany and Italy.

The competition is open to residents of Kenilworth aged 18 and under and entries must be submitted by October 31.

The four winning designs will be chosen by November 6 and winners will be invited for tea and cake with the mayor.

Mr Dickson said: “In my recent contact with young people in Kenilworth, I’ve been hugely impressed by their creativity so I know that this year, especially with the impact of Covid 19 on the town, there’ll be some very high quality and original entries.

“This is a great opportunity to send a powerful message about what makes Kenilworth special.”

Entry forms are available from The Kenilworth Centre in Abbey End car park or the town council offices in Jubilee House, Smalley Place.
