More flood warnings across Warwickshire

Leamington Editorial 25th Nov, 2019 Updated: 25th Nov, 2019   0

MORE flood alerts are in place in Warwickshire.

Flooding is affecting low-lying land and roads near the River Leam between Grandborough and Leamington including Kites Hardwick, Birdingbury, Marton, Eathorpe, Hunningham and Offchurch and the River Itchen between Southam and Marton including Long Itchington.

Further rain is forecast across the county over the next few days.

Earlier this month heavy rain caused chaos across the region. Warwickshire Fire and Rescue were called out to some 60 flooding incidents including drivers marooned in deep standing water.

Roads were brought to a standstill and some 50 schools were closed.
