HUNDREDS of runners dressed in a different attire will take to the streets of Leamington this month for Myton Hospice’s annual Santa Dash.
Both Santas and Reindeers will flood the Pump Room Gardens on Sunday, December 11, as those taking part will set off at 10am for the 5k course.
Competitors can either walk, jog or run the course as all funds raised from the event will go directly towards helping patients and their families cope with valuable end-of-life care.
Hot and cold refreshments will be available prior to the event while some seasonal entertainment is guaranteed to wipe out any Scrooges taking part.
Not only is the course suitable for all ages, but it can also host wheelchairs and dogs are being invited to take part too.
Event organiser Lucy Turner said: “This will be the biggest Santa Dash we’ve ever hosted with more than one thousand people already signed up.
“We’re really looking forward to hosting it in Leamington and hopefully the whole town can be a picture of red and white.
“We hope the event can raise £32,000 – that money will be used to allow 237 youngsters to attend ten counselling sessions.”
