A MOTORCYCLIST died after a crash with a car on a busy road near Leamington.
The air ambulance and emergency services were called to Banbury Road close to the junction with the M40, at around 10pm on Monday (July 29).
The 26-year-old man was found in cardiac arrest by passers. He later died at the scene.
Police say there had been a crash between his motorbike and a small black car, leaving the biker with serious injuries.
Officers believe an Asian man and woman were in the car and say the car did not stop at the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “It is not clear what had happened, however, when crews arrived they found the motorcyclist, lying in the road in cardiac arrest.
“Police officers were already performing CPR which ambulance staff took over, as well as administering advanced life support.
“However, sadly it became apparent nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Anyone with information or who saw the crash is asked to call police on 101 or ring 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
