VOLUNTEERS have been celebrated at a Warwick Museum.
The team at Market Hall Museum has been rewarded for its hard work and dedication at the West Midlands Museums Volunteer Awards.
The volunteers at Market Hall won the ‘Spreading the Word’ category for their work welcoming visitors to the museum.
Volunteers Louise O’Sullivan, Wendy Nealon, Chrissie Priestley and Trevor Langley represented the team at the ceremony held in Birmingham and brought back a specially made celebration tile to be put on display.
Museum supervisor Victoria Goodall, said: “We are so delighted for our volunteers. They make a huge difference to our visitors – both in the galleries and on the front of house – and at our many events for visitors of all ages.”
Now in its second year the awards – funded through Arts Council England – celebrate volunteers helping museums across the region flourish. This year’s awards were presented by BBC journalist and presenter Sarah Bishop.
