MYTON School in Warwick has been evacuated after a threat was made, police confirmed.

All of the students at the school were “out of building and safe”, Warwickshire Police said.

A spokesperson continued: “We’re asking parents not to come to the school and allow emergency services to respond.”

People were also asked to avoid the area around the school in Myton Road, which police said had been closed due to the incident.

The school advised parents to look for updates on social media or for more information on its school post system.

The school said on Facebook: “Due to an ongoing incident at the school we currently have the police on site and they have a process to follow.”

The nature of the threat has not yet been confirmed.
