A PUB in Napton could soon be turned into homes.
Developers are looking to knock down The Bridge Inn pub on Southam Road and build five detached houses.
They say the existing pub is “no longer a viable business” and the homes, if given permission, would “reflect the canal side setting and respect the traditional nature of the village.”
Although those opposed to the plans admit the pub has previously struggled, they maintain it has turned a corner in recent years – being used by tourists and locals alike.
The proposals are currently undergoing public consultation with the application set to be considered by Stratford District Council before the end of the year.
Residents have until December 8 to make their thoughts known on the council’s planning website.
