THE WELLESBOURNE and Walton Neighbourhood Development Plan is a step closer to fruition.
The draft plan has been submitted for formal consultation, and people can have their say on it over the next six weeks.
Neighbourhood plans are a key component of the Government’s Localism Act, which aims to devolve greater powers to councils and neighbourhoods. The plan will cover everything from green spaces and sustainable transport, to housing and leisure facilities.
Earlier this year the Wootton Wawen Neighbourhood Plan was independently examined and the Examiner recommended that, subject to some proposed modifications, the Plan should proceed to referendum.
The consultation runs until November 24.
