A NEW councillor has been elected to take the place of Warwick and Leamington MP Matt Western on Warwickshire County Council.
His former Leamington Willes ward seat has been filled by fellow Labour councillor Helen Adkins, who focused her election campaign on tackling issues such as speeding, parking, potholes, fighting the closure of children centres, air pollution and education.
She pipped Green candidate Martin Luckhurst to the seat by 25 votes.
