New cycling route revealed

THE MISSING link in the cycling network around Warwick has been completed.

The extension of the route on Myton Road has allowed a crucial connection to a cycle path on Banbury Road.

The move is part of Warwickshire County Council’s project to encourage cycling in the region.

The new route will be of particular benefit to people working at the Warwick Technology Park, who now have a continuous cycle route to work from south Leamington, Warwick Gates and Warwick Station.

County transport spokesman Coun Jeff Clarke said: “This scheme contributes towards our ongoing work to make it easier to get around Warwick by bike, following on from the introduction of cycling facilities on Priory Road and a 20mph limit in the town centre earlier this year.”
