New Guide Dogs charity box welcomed at Warwickshire College

STAFF and students at Warwickshire College will be supporting Guide Dogs in continuing their life-changing work.

A new collection box has been installed at the college, which is just yards from the Guide Dogs Training School.

College director Roger Bevan said: “We often see dogs out with their trainers nearby, as the Guide Dogs Training School is so close to the college, so it made perfect sense. I hope all the students and staff will contribute generously and raise lots of money for such a fantastic cause.”

And volunteer consultant Penny Hefferan has thanked supporters at the college.

She said: “People always have a great reaction to our dogs as they’re beautiful, but it’s important to remember that for people like me, they’re vital. They enable visually impaired people to be independent – to go to work, or to college – which is so important.

“When students and staff are donating their change to the box, they’re supporting someone like me, which is fantastic.”
