NEW play areas have been unveiled in Kenilworth.
Warwick District Council has pumped £150,000 into creating two new play areas at Bates Memorial Park and Ebourne Recreation Ground.
Youngsters can now enjoy swings, slides and climbing frames and improvements have been made to the footpaths and entrances. Wildflower meadows, benches and bins have also been introduced to the area.
The council is revamping parks and open spaces across the district and is currently also working on The Holt at Saltisford Common along with a £200,000 investment which has been planned for Victoria Park.
Council neighbourhood spokeswoman Coun Moira-Ann Grainger said: “The new equipment, as well as the benches and improved footpaths ensure that these parks will continue to be enjoyed by families.
“This work is proof of our continued investment in parks and open spaces across the district.”
