Newbold Comyn Golf Course set to close in new year

Leamington Editorial 9th Nov, 2017   0

NEWBOLD Comyn Golf Course in Leamington is set to close in the new year.

Mack Golf has withdrawn from its contract to manage the Warwick District Council-owned course, and intend to close it from December 31.

The council – which apologised to golfers for the inconvenience caused – is currently taking legal advice.

Warwick District Council’s cultural services spokesman Michael Coker said: “We are very disappointed that Mack Golf have taken the decision to close the golf course. We apologise to all golfers and staff who will be affected by this decision, and assure them all that we will be doing all we can to resolve the situation.”

The Observer has contacted Mack Golf for a comment.
