Older people the focus of upcoming healthcare meeting

OLDER people will be the focus of an upcoming healthcare meeting by South Warwickshire Foundation Trust.

The trust is holding its Annual Governors and Members meeting on Monday July 8 between 4pm and 5pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stratford.

Along with discussing its accounts and annual report there will be the chance to hear more about its work supporting with an ageing populating – which will see more than 18,000 in Warwick aged 85 or older by 2035.

SWFT is trying to improve healthcare for patients in their homes through the ‘Oken Project’ which sees it work with Warwick GP practices and care homes.




This project and a number of others will be discussed at the meeting. There will also be a talk by a trust geriatric doctor and chief executive Glen Burley, along with staff awards.
