OLYMPIC medalist Rebecca Adlington has been making waves at a local primary school.
The double gold medalist visited Stockton Primary School after pupil Violet Gulliver won a competition to design a swimming hat.
The youngster beat 70,000 other entries scooping a special assembly for her school where the star swimmer discussed her career and showed off her medals.
Violet’s class then enjoyed a swimming lesson with Rebecca at nearby Southam Leisure Centre.
Headteacher Anne Bedgood said: “At Stockton we place a high value on creativity and nurturing individual talents.
“We are incredibly proud, but not surprised by Violet’s success as she is a truly talented artist.”
