AN OPEN air theatre performance of Alice in Wonderland is set to be staged in the gardens of St John’s House in Warwick.
The performance is being put on by Folksy Theatre at 2pm on Wednesday July 27 and will retell the classic tale of Alice, a young and curious girl, who follows a white rabbit down a rabbit hole and end up in Wonderland.
All the story’s favourite characters from the Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter to the Queen of Hearts will be brought to life in the gardens, combined with live music and puppetry suitable for the whole family.
Attendees are invited to bring a picnic and dress for the weather, as the show will go on even if it rains.
Coun Heather Timms, Warwickshire County Council’s (WCC) spokesperson for environment, climate and culture, said: “What a great way to start the summer holidays with an open-air performance of this children’s classic, and in the beautiful gardens at St John’s House. This is just one of a number of summer events and activities that Heritage and Culture Warwickshire have planned, full details are available on warwickshire.gov.uk/heritageboxoffice”.
Tickets cost £12 for children and £15 for adults, whilst a family ticket is £48.
