Over 200 cannabis plants seized from Leamington property

Leamington Editorial 20th Oct, 2020   0

OVER 200 cannabis plants have been seized from a Leamington property.

Officers from the Leamington Safer Neighbourhood Team swooped on the Brunswick Street property on Friday (October 16) where they discovered around 240 plants.

Officers from the Leamington Safer Neighbourhood Team have seized more than 200 cannabis plants after discovering a grow at a property in the town.

They arrested a 55-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

This discovery comes following an investigation into another grow in the town on St David’s Close last month in which two men aged 36 and 46 were arrested and released under investigation.

Leamington’s Safer Neighbourhood Team has been running Operation Switch to identify and tackle drug dealing in and around the town.

Anyone with concerns about the supply and use of illegal drugs in their community should call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
