AN ACCIDENT involving a horsebox on the A46 is causing serious delays.
Police were called around 1.15pm today when the southbound carriageway of the bypass was blocked by an overturned horsebox between Longbridge Island and the A425 Birmingham Road exit.
Two horses escaped from the overturned horsebox and were loose on the carriageway – police stopped vehicles traveling northbound while the horses were caught.
It is believed there were no injuries sustained and no other vehicles were involved.
The road has now reopened.
