A PAEDOPHILE hunter live streamed the moment he confronted a Leamington man allegedly hoping to have sex with an underage girl.
Vigilante Shane Brannigan travelled to the town to meet the man who was believed to have been talking to girls online.
Sharing the encounter on Facebook Live the paedophile hunter challenged the man in his 50s about who he had been talking to. Some 7,000 people logged on to watch the events as they unfolded.
The man says he had no idea how he was tracked down by Shane but later admitted to contacting teenage girls online.
A police spokesman said: “We can confirm Warwickshire Police was contacted by a member of public reporting concerns about a man who was thought to be attempting to contact and meet teenage girls.
“Officers attended an address in Leamington where a man was arrested on suspicion of attempting to meet a girl under 16 years of age following grooming.
“The man has been released on police bail until January.”
