Parents who experienced mental health problems urged to help with development of services

PARENTS who have experienced mental health issues are being urged to help with the development of Warwickshire services.

Across the county mental health issues such as low mood or anxiety affect one in five women during or after pregnancy, and one in ten expectant or new dads.

Making Space Health and Social Care Services and Warwickshire Country Council are working together to strengthen support services for expectant and new parents who experience mental health issues.

They hope to set up groups which will influence planning and strengthening of local support services.

Those who would be interested in joining a group and parents who suffered mental health issues are asked to call 01926 679207 to contact Making Space.
