PROTECTING vulnerable residents in Warwickshire is the top priority for a new umbrella organisation.
Warwickshire County Council is working with agencies across the county to form a Multiagency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). It will bring together representatives from the police, NHS and other organisations in the same place, working to support those in need.
Together the agencies will share information and assess the threat and risks to vulnerable children, and from September will work to also protect adults.
The agencies hope by working more closely together it will improve the speed and effectiveness of the service.
Warwickshire Police Det Ch Con Karen Manners said: “The launch of the Warwickshire Multiagency Safeguarding Hub is an exciting and innovative development in the way partner agencies work together to protect the most vulnerable people from harm. Agencies in the county have a strong history of successful partnership working.
“The MASH moves safeguarding to a better level with agencies based in the same location, sharing information in live-time to enable more informed, faster decision making to protect the most vulnerable in Warwickshire.”
