PATRIOTIC pupils and parents have given the garden at Whitnash Primary School a royal makeover.
Families created a garden – including plants and flowers along with wooden pillars and borders – to celebrate the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth.
Headteacher Donna Ellison said: “We wanted to improve the appearance of the school whilst also doing something to mark this amazing milestone so one of the parents suggested creating a garden for the Queen.
“After several weeks of hard work we are delighted with the result, as are the bees, and we look forward to watching it flourish. It gives a far better welcome to everyone coming to the school and has received a great response. We hope Her Majesty will also approve when we send her some photos.”
